Many students have updated to the new apple operating system, IOS 7.0. While this upgrade is not necessary, most student will want to upgrade. Please be aware that apple is reporting a significant failure rate with the installation process. Usually, if the installation fails, the student will lose any data they have saved to the iPad. Before you update, you should back up the device to iTunes or iCloud or risk losing data. In some cases, a significant failure has occurred and you may need to take the device to the Apple Store to have it reset. All devices currently have apple care and are under warranty.
