My School Bucks!

My School Bucks
Keep your student’s meals account balance current by setting up on-line alerts when their account reaches $10.00 or below.  You do not need to pay on-line to receive the alerts
It’s very easy – go to www.myschoolbucks.com to create your account.  Follow the prompts and be sure to add each student individually.  Choose to receive notifications by text message and/or email.
If you do choose to pay on-line, there are a couple of options – set up auto pay for a specific amount or pay on-line when you receive the alert.  The student will always have money available on their account.
If you would rather not pay on-line, that’s fine too.  When you receive the notification, send in cash or a check (payable to Hull Public Schools) with your student and they can pay the cashier in the cafeteria. It’s that easy!
Student’s who reach a negative balance of $10.00 or more will receive a notice from the school and an alternate lunch will be given until the balance is paid in full.
If you think that your family may be eligible for free or reduced priced meals, please fill out the meals application and send it into school with your student.  A copy of the application can be printed from the Hull Public Schools website or you can pick up a copy in any school office.  You will receive a letter from the school regarding the decision within a week of submission.  If you don’t receive this letter, do not assume you are approved; contact your student’s school.

If you have additional questions you may contact Patty Gardiner at HPS Administration, 781-925-4400  X1112.

National Junior Honor Society Selection Process has Started!!

November 29, 2016

The National Junior Honor Society distributed applications today to those students who are academically eligible for membership in the National Junior Honor Society as administered at Memorial Middle School. In order to apply for membership, the student’s cumulative grade point average must meet or exceed our chapter’s standard for Scholarship.  This standard is currently set at 3.8 on a 4.0 scale.  These candidates should be proud of this accomplishment which serves as the first step in our selection procedures.

The candidates that meet the Scholarship standard are now eligible to submit additional information for consideration by our chapter’s Faculty Council.  The Faculty Council will carefully review each student’s credentials.  In addition to the Scholarship standard, membership in NJHS is also based on the standards of Leadership, Service, Citizenship, and Character. To be selected as a member of NJHS, students must demonstrate in their application and essay that they have met or exceeded these additional standards. An explanation of our chapter’s standards in each of these areas is included with the candidate’s application.

Candidates that choose to apply should submit their application directly to either of our advisors, Mrs. MacDonald or Mrs. Striglio,by Tuesday, December 6th.  Candidates will be notified of the results of the Faculty Council no later than Friday, December 23, 2016.

Candidates or parents with questions regarding NJHS or the selection process,  can contact Mrs. MacDonald or Mrs. Striglio, 781-925-2040 ext. 1105/1106, or by e-mail at rmacdonald@town.hull.ma.us or  sstriglio@town.hull.ma.us.  Additional information about NJHS can be found in the student handbook posted on the Memorial Middle School website.
