PARCC Parent/Guardian Information Night
Memorial Middle School and Jacobs Elementary School will host a PARCC information night for the parents and guardians of students in Grades K through 8 on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Memorial Middle school.
PARCC is the new standardized test in English Language Arts and Math that will replace the current state test we all know as MCAS. There are several ways that PARCC is different from MCAS. Most notably, PARCC is a computer based test.
At the information night we will be able to answer questions, address concerns, and assist families with understanding the differences between the tests as well as the preparation students need to be ready for the new test. All parents and guardians are invited and encouraged to attend.

PTO Annual Appeal
Dear Hull Parents and Community Members:
As we enter this joyful time of
thanks, the Hull PTO would like to thank you for all of your support in 2014.
Thanks to your participation in our events, fundraisers, and activities, the
Hull PTO is able to be a support system to the students and teachers of our
community. For that, we are grateful and want you to know that your efforts do
not go unnoticed. Whether you have volunteered your time at a fundraiser,
provided a meal for the teachers, or joined our efforts to make donations to
school activities, we appreciate all that you have done to help the school
community in Hull.
Your efforts lead to thousands
of dollars in support to the school system to ensure important programs and
projects are available. While we cannot list them all, below is a sample of the
projects the PTO is proud to have supported in 2014:
Arts Alive Day Hull High School
Advisory Day
Huntington Theater Field Trips
Jacobs Express Day
Jacobs Field Day Geography Game
Show
Museum of Science School
Program Plimouth Plantation Field Trip
Halloween Dance Teacher
Appreciation Meals
Turkey Trot Harvard Mock Trial
Sunaware Program Kindergarten
Tour of Hull
Marie Curie Visit to Jacobs
Grad Night
These great opportunities would
not be available without your support. As you celebrate all that you have to be
thankful for this holiday season, we ask for your help so we can continue to
provide great learning opportunities for the kids of Hull. In recent years,
demand for support from the PTO has grown, while fundraising has been
increasingly difficult, leaving us with more requests and fewer resources. To
ensure we can help make these and many more programs available, we are asking
for your support. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Hull
PTO this holiday season.
Your gift of $20, $50, $100, or
more will help ensure the children of Hull continue to learn and grow, and give
back to this great community in which we live. To make your gift, please send
your check made out to the
Hull PTO
P.O. Box 56
Hull, MA 02045
or make a
donation online at www.hullpto.org.
Thank you for all that you do
for the children of Hull. Your commitment is greatly appreciated and all of us
at the PTO know that we could not do any of this without you.
With Warm Appreciation,
Hull PTO Board of Directors
