School Council

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Every year in my back to school letter, I publicize the School Council. The School Council is a group of parents and teachers that meet on a regular basis to review the day-to-day operations of the school.  Additionally, we review the student handbook, the District Curriculum Accommodation Plan (DCAP), and the School Improvement Plan.  We brainstorm ways to raise funds for student activities.  The group will also receive updates on the budget process and will have the opportunity to advise the Principal on the operations of the school.  Meetings are always held at Memorial Middle School in room 227.  The dates and times for the meetings are:
Sept. 30  @ 6:30 pm
Oct. 28 @ 4:00 pm
Dec. 2 @ 6:30 pm
Jan. 13 @ 4:00 pm
March 3 @ 6:30 pm
April 27 @ 4:00 pm
June 1 @ 6:30 pm


If you would like to be a member of the School Council, please reply to this email by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 16th or call me at 781-925-2040 ext 1102.  Should I have more the 4 parents/guardians interested, we will hold an election at our open house tomorrow.  This is a great way to stay informed about your child's school and to get to know some other parents, teachers, and the principal.
