Read a Thon Results!!

Memorial Middle School held its annual PTO sponsored Read-a-thon at the end of January.  With all of the snow days, we just completed our Readers Party!!  Students at MMS read for 65,304 minutes and raised $776.  While our total time read was down slightly from last year, the amount of money raised increased!  AThe PTO and the middle school rewarded students for their efforts.  

Most Minutes Read:  
Grade 6     Brenna Conneely with 5,417 minutes
Grade 7     Alyssa Healey with 1,398 minutes
Grade 8     Sarah Ashley with 6,191 minutes

All students that participated in the read-a-thon and submitted a reading log were entered into a drawing for a set of Beats by Dre headphones. The winner was Harry Peters.  

All students that raised money were entered into a drawing for  2 $25 iTunes gift certificates.  The winners were Emma Carney and Neil Reilly.

All students that read for over 1,000 minutes were entered into a drawing to be Principal or Assistant Principal for the day.  The winner of Principal of the day was Kim Dang.  The winner of Assistant Principal was Rebecca Rosenbaum. 

Finally,  The first period class with the most minutes read won a free breakfast and a game of dodge ball.  The winning class was Mr. Young's first period science class.
