Pi Day Rally

Memorial Middle School hosted its first annual Pi Day Rally sponsored by the grade 6 team on Monday, March 14 (3.14!!).  This was our third Rally this year.  Pi is an irrational number that represents the relationship between the radius of a circle and its circumference. During the rally, the grade levels competed against each other in a variety of competitions that all revolved around Pi.  The rally culminated with a Pi(e) eating contest.  Grade 6 beat out 7th and 8th grade to win the rally competitions!  A grade 6 student, Troy Healey was crowned King of Pi Day as he correctly recited Pi to 175 digits.
